Lemon bayashi", written in Japanese and transmitted to Ogasawara in the 1950s, was the most popular song composed by Micronesians under the administration of Japan . The uniqueness of its grammar and strange vocabulary attracts even present-day Japanese visitors to Ogasawara. However, without knowing the background of the song, the emotion of Micronesians expressed in their imperfect Japanese language might be misunderstood.
