New Sm(III) complexes with heterocyclic bidentate ligands namely imidazole, oxothioazolidine-4-carboxylic acid, N,N-ethylene thiourea, L-cystien, thiobarbituric acid, and thenoyltrifluroacetone have been synthesized.
