A vaccination strategy based on linearization control techniques for fighting against epidemic diseases propagation

This paper presents a vaccination strategy for fighting against the propagation of epidemic diseases. The disease propagation is described by a SIRS (susceptible plus infected plus recovered populations) epidemic model. The model takes into account that the recovered individuals lose the disease immunity after a finite time period. A control technique based on a model linearization approach is used to design the vaccination strategy in order to eradicate the infection from the population.
