Although colorectal carcinoma (CRC) is the third most common type of cancer in adults, only 1-4 % of cases are reported in individuals younger than 25-30 years. Its presentation is usually confused with other diseases, leading to significant delays in diagnosis. Given its low incidence, few pediatricians will see a case throughout their practice.
