The main objective of this research is to find out whether or not there is significant difference between teaching written recount texts to students of MA Ma'ahid Kudus by using blog-based leaning with peer feedback and teaching written recount texts by using traditional lecturing. In this study, the population was the tenth grade students of MA Ma'ahid Kudus in the academic year 2011/2012. The number of the population was 129 students. In taking the sample, the writer used cluster sampling.
more » ... chose class X-B as the experimental group and class X-C as the control group. The experimental group was taught using blog-based learning with peer feedback in written recount texts and the control group was taught using traditional lecturing in written recount texts. The writer used a written essay test to obtain the data. The t value is 3.454 and t table is 2.005. Since the t value is greater than the t table, so the working hypothesis is accepted. It means there is significant difference on the students' achievement between those who are taught using blog-based learning with peer feedback and those who are taught using traditional lecturing. Therefore, it can be concluded that blog-based learning with peer feedback is effective to teach written recount text.
