Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are a large set of integrated and specialized software which provides support for different organizational operations, such as manufacturing, logistics, finance, accounting, sales, marketing, and human resources. more » ... ir business processes. ERP is like a client/Server application, however, while many of the organizations consider of introducing or enhancing of an ERP solution in their business. Prediction of implementation costs and the time required for implementation are two key outcomes of successfully planning an ERP. Organizations must be able to accurately predict the aspects like costs, resources, and requirements, finally develop a plan of attack both before the implementation begins and till throughout the project. For this study, we have assisted a questionnaire survey with respondents from various private IT corporations operating in India. After investigation it is concluded that having various benefits like improving quality and efficiency of the business. The study also recommends that security controls and its procedures should be implemented well; it increases the likelihood of successful implementation of ERP systems in organizations.
