2018 Ny forskning i grammatik
The paper suggests a new analysis of the Danish verbal construction that combines the verb få 'get' and the supine form (perfect participle) of the semantic main verb, e.g. Karla fik slået graesset, meaning either (roughly) 'Karla managed to mow the lawn' or 'Karla got the lawn mowed (by someone else)'. The various types and interpretations of få + supine formations are described as instances of a general 'affactive construction' (Danish: interessentkonstruktion) that assigns the role of

The agentive/inagentive distinction is defined as a voice distinction between active and passive affactive construction, the latter allowing for the promotion of either an indirect object or a non-valency-bound free afficiary to subject status.
