Liposarcomas (LPS) account for approximately 15% of all sarcomas among mesenchymal neoplasms and 6% of primary mediastinal tumors. LPS, usually found in the lower extremities or retroperitoneum, have also been reported in the abdomen, vulva, and buttocks. However, primary LPS of the anterior mediastinum are extremely rare.
