Stable multiwavelength erbium-doped fiber laser at room temperature with tunable wavelength, wavelength spacing, and channel number

We experimentally studied a functional multiwavelength erbium-doped fiber ͑EDF͒ laser at room temperature incorporating a commercial highly nonlinear fiber ͑HNLF͒ and a comb filter based on a first-order polarization mode dispersion emulator ͑PMDE͒. The tunability of the lasing wavelength, the wavelength spacing, and the number of channels were investigated.
