ABSTRACT The present work has as general objective to recognize the knowledge of the course coordinators on legal and institutional documents that support and guide the inclusion of students with disabilities or with some special needs in Higher Education of a particular HEI of the Federal District. For this, it is relevant to present the history and legislation of inclusion in Higher Education more specifically the Law of the Brazilian of Inclusion 13. 146/15; identify the guidelines contained in the institution's IDP in order to investigate the guidelines received by the coordinators in order to implement the inclusive practice. The research coordinators of the HEI under study are aware of the guidelines contained in the legal and institutional documents that support and guide the pedagogical work regarding inclusion in higher education.
