Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is a cancer of variable outcomes with limited effective treatments resulting in poor overall survival (OS). Epigenetic alterations contributing to this deadly cancer type that can be used as novel therapeutic or diagnostic targets are still poorly understood.
