Asymptomatic carriage of Staphylococcus aureus can lead to endogenous infections and cross-transmission to other individuals. Objectives: The prevalence, molecular epidemiology, antibiotic resistance, and risk factors for nasal carriage of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) were studied in school children in Ardabil, Iran.
