HPTLC Analysis: Identification of Flavonoid from Senna alata (L.) Flowers

The aim of the study is to develop the high performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC) fingerprint profile of flavonoid of Senna alata (L.) HPTLC method for the separation of the active constituents in extracts has been developed using solvent system Toluene: Ethyl acetate: Formic acid (5:4:1). The preliminary phytochemical results of S.alata indicated that the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and glycosides. In HPTLC analysis, it showed the presence of flavonoid
