... oducing 35% oxygen more than other trees and is environmental friendly. Recently in residential construction a worldwide interest in bamboo has been seen. It reaches heights of full maturity in as little as three years and regenerates quickly after harvesting. There are so many species are available, some species have the same strength ratio as steel. Hollow bricks are the recently used material for construction. Bamboo can be successfully installed inside concrete hollow block. In this paper development of bamboo reinforced concrete blocks and their characteristics are reported.
