There are controversial statements in the available literature regarding the variations in the trochlear foveae or fossae and spines. This study was undertaken especially to know about the variations in Indian skulls in Western Uttar Pradesh. A total of 25 skulls from the anatomy museum of Rohilkhand Medical College and Hospital, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, were studied. In 18 (72%) cases, the trochlear foveae were present on both sides.
