In this paper, we are going to present an implementation of SLAM. This SLAM technology is used for creating a map of an unknown environment by placing a robot. Robot will be interfaced and controlled using Robot Operating System (ROS). We are aiming to create a map of a region where disaster has taken place. It can be used to create a map of the regions where humans cannot reach. In the disaster prone areas it is not possible for humans to check the location of survivors.
