Causes of rotational speed difference in individual ultrasonic micro motor of standing wave type are experimentally investigated by using five motor sets : rotors, stators and springs. The following results are obtained : ( 1 ) The rotational speed difference in each motor is mainly caused by the difference in circumferential speed of projections in each stator. Effects of the difference in each rotor and spring are relatively small. ( 2 ) The difference in circumferential speed of projections
