Since the Advanced Simulation and Computing Program began in 1995, Livermore has been a leader in the push to develop massively parallel scalable supercomputing systems to support the nation's Stockpile Stewardship Program. To continue to meet these and other supercomputing needs, the Laboratory is pursuing a three-pronged strategy to provide increasingly powerful, cost-effective high-performance computational capability and capacity to a variety of users.
