Diseases of the thyroid gland (thyroid gland) occupy the first place among all endocrine pathologies and remain one of the most complex problems. Girls get sick much more often than boys. Thyroid hormones have a significant impact on the growth and development of the child's body. The function of the thyroid gland can be normal (state of euthyroidism), increased (hyperthyroidism) or reduced (hypothyroidism). Hyperfunction is haptic for such diseases as diffuse goiter, nodular toxic goiter, toxic thyroid adenoma. Hypofunction occurs with nodular or mixed goiter, thyroid aplasia, ectopy, or its diffuse increase.
