Storability research with starch potato cultivars

Studies over 4 years with 10 commercial or commercially promising cultivars grown on peat soils in the Netherlands revealed significant differences with respect to susceptibility to damage, weight loss and starch loss during storage at 6 or 20 degrees C and development of rotting at 20 degrees C. Astarte had high weight losses, and Elkana and Prominent low losses. Astarte showed a high susceptibility to internal and external damage. Erlkana, Atrela and Prominent were highly susceptible to
