We present here a facile hydrothermal synthesis method to prepare Cu (II) nanoparticles supported on W (VI) oxide nanorod catalyst. Detailed characterization of the material was carried out by XRD, XPS, SEM, TEM, TGA, and ICP-AES. The catalyst was highly active for selective oxidation of ethylbenzene to acetophenone with H2O2 at 90 ºC. The influence of reaction parameters were investigated in detail. The reusability of the catalyst was studied and it was found that the catalyst did not show anydoi:10.15379/2408-9834.2015.02.02.04 fatcat:tmi3hdutlrairezqebuclqirca
