Приділено увагу проблемним моментам, пов'язаних з глобалізацією як розвинених країн, так і країн, що розвиваються. Розглянуто як позитивні, так і негативні сторони впливу глобалізаційних процесів на економічний розвиток України. Висвітлено вирішальну роль та розглянуто проблему збільшення впливу транснаціональних компаній в контексті світових процесів глобалізації. Висвітлено різноманітність оцінок щодо наслідків глобалізації світового економічного простору. Наведено фактори, що перешкоджають вступу України до інтеграційних процесів світової економіки. At the beginning of the third millennium, the world became a global economic system, and a globally functioning world economic mechanism emerged, elements of which became individual national economies. The world is living in an era of change leading to global integration due to the introduction of knowledge-intensive technologies and the creation of global infrastructure. The article highlights the sources and processes that form the phenomenon of globalization in general and allows us to consider it an independent and complex but internally very contradictory system of relations. The expediency of Ukraine's integration into the international community is substantiated. Ukraine's integration into the world community will provide an opportunity to open new horizons and additional opportunities to realize its potential and achieve a higher level of development as soon as possible, adopting the experience of other countries and adjusting it for its developing economy. Ukraine's position on some components of the globalization index is analyzed. Socio-economic problems of globalization are investigated. Attention is paid to the problematic issues related to the globalization of both developed and developing countries.
