The performance of an organization depends on how efficiently managers use the elements specific to an organizational culture through the medium of communication. Componenta de bază a funcţiei de coordonare o reprezintă comunicarea, proces prin care are loc schimbul de mesaje, în vederea realizării obiectivelor individuale şi comune ale membrilor organizaţiei. Transmiterea de informaţii şi perceperea integrală a mesajelor conţinute fac posibilă realizarea acordului şi, deci a unor acţiuni armonizate.
