Centrifugal pumps are non-positive displacement pump with fluctuating discharge with respect to the outlet pressure. As a result, it is not possible to achieve the desired level of output. To avoid this, a two-way pumping system comprises of scotch yoke mechanism is utilized to get the desired output. Centrifugal pump blades are difficult to manufacture due to their contour surface, whereas two-way pumping systems that use the scotch mechanism are simple to design and manufacture. In comparison

In these regions, the water has become stagnant. A twoway pumping system with a scotch yoke mechanism can be utilized to remove the excess stagnant water. The developed mechanism provided an efficiency of 75.9 percentage for the delivery pressure of 4 kg/cm 2 .
