Using the IVA2/005 computer code the SNR model explosion experiment SGI-09-1 was numerically simulated. The experiment consists of high pressure gas injection into a low pressureliquid pool with a free surface in a cylindrical geometry with intern als. Bubble formation and pressure history as a function of time was predicted and compared with the experimental observation. A good agreement between theory and experimentwas obtained.
