Ultrafast photoinduced above-bandgap transparency in GaAs due to the dynamic Franz-Keldysh effect
2003
Postconference Digest Quantum Electronics and Laser Science, 2003. QELS.
We report the dynamic Franz-Keldysh effect in bulk GaAs. Ultrafast changes in transmission spectra near the band edge, including the first observation of photoinduced transparency as large as 40%, are observed. 2000 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (320.7130) Ultrafast processes in condensed matter, including semiconductors
