From Distant Shores [thesis]

Jamie Phillips
I would like to personally thank my teacher, mentor, and friend, BOYD Professor Dinos Constantinides. Your constant guidance and tutelage during my time at LSU has been an amazing opportunity for me, and I would not be the composer, student, and musician that I am today without you. Being able to work with you has been one of the most cherished privileges that I have been given. Thank you for introducing me to so much wonderful music and bringing out the potential that I could not yet see

Your encouragement and assistance during this process has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you for allowing me to consult with you and taking the time to provide very valuable feedback on my work. I admire your teaching styles and how much you love music and educating others through music. I would also like to thank Doctor Lori Bade for her guidance as my graduate counselor and making this process a smooth one. Lastly, I would like to thank my wonderful wife, Brittany, my parents, and my sister for encouraging me to pursue this degree. Your support means the world to me.
