Vibration isolation of two elastic structures using active compliance at the isolation mounts
1998
Journal of the Acoustical Society of America
Abstracfi A concept for the vibration isolation of two structures elastically connected (via isolation mounts) employing active springs is presented. The vibration isolation springs are made active by the inclusion of a piezoelectric pad at one of the spring and structure interfaces. Single input-single output feedbwk controllers at each spring seek to minimize the force transmitted from one structure to the other. Simulation redts horn a state space representation of the model are presented.
