Pro-competitive Transportation Regulatory Reform in Canada

The Canadian Chemical Producers' Association (CCPA) represents 66 member companies which produce almost 75% of the $9.3 billion worth of industrial chemicals and synthetic resins manufactured annually in Canada. This paper explains why transportation is of vital importance to Canada's industrial chemical manufacturing industry and discuss the elements of pro-competitive transportation regulatory reform which we see as essential. The paper addresses the rail and highway modes of transportation.
