Wire diameter dependence in the catalytic decomposition of H2

Jansen et al. have demonstrated that the dissociaiton rate of H 2 molecules on hot wire surfaces, normalized per unit surface area, depends on the wire diameter based on the electrical power consumption measuremnents [J. Appl. Phys. 66, 5749 (1989)]. Mathematical modeling calculations have also been presented to support their experimental results.
