In this final qualifying paper, we described the features of the DE, k-factor methods and the Gorev-Mashkeleyson equation for the time-time characteristic, compared various approaches for evaluating the strength of spark gaps under thunderstorm effects, and showed the difference between these approaches under the influence of a standard pulse and a non-standard one.
