SCHOOL EDUCATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS: NEEDS OF AN APPROACH ABSTRACT: The purpose of this text is to present reflections on the challenges and possibilities for the implementation of Education in and for Human Rights (DH) in contemporary school. However, the notion of an education that goes back to the DH is still not reality in practice nor in the Brazilian curriculum. At a time when we are experiencing the crisis of public and private values and of society as a whole, it is necessary that issues of equality, freedom and human dignity are not only recorded in the legal documents / texts but that they overcome barriers and are internalized by all those who, formally or informally, take responsibility for the new generations and the common world.
