New records of the praying mantis Mantis religiosa religiosa (Linnaeus, 1758) (Insecta: Mantodea) in Silesia and South Wielkopolska. Praying mantis Mantis religiosa (L.) is one of those species in Polish entomofauna, which in the last dozen years have significantly increased the range. In this work, we publish fourteen new records which increase our knowledge about occurrence of Mantis religiosa religiosa from the south-western part of Poland (i.e. from the Lower Silesia, Opole and Silesia Provinces) and south part of Wielkopolska Province. We also shortly summarize and discuss these new findings referring them to historical and contemporary data as well.
