Os resultados obtidos foram a constituição do panorama legal da formação do alfabetizador e a vivência com alunos do Curso Normal que aponta uma mudança no olhar destes sobre a alfabetização dos indivíduos. Abstract This article focuses on analyzing the initial training of alphabetizer in the Normal Course, Middle level, the State Education Network of Rio de Janeiro. The research aims to present the current Brazilian laws which guarantee the permanence of the Ordinary Course; present a survey of academic research of the past five years that address the literacy training; analyze the curricular organization of Normal Course on the aspects that guide the formation of literacy, and describe the Pedagogical Laboratory of Languages and Alphabetizations. The methods of documentary analysis, data collection and reporting experience were applied. The results were the establishment of the legal landscape of literacy training and experience with students of the Normal Course pointing a change in the look of these on the alphabetization of individuals.
