A semianalytical model is introduced to assess rolling contact fatigue problems in railway applications. The constitutive law is based on the nonlinear kinematic and isotropic hardening model of Chaboche-Lemaitre, which allows the cyclic elastoplastic strain under the contact surface to be evaluated.
