Comparison of SOAP and REST Based Web Services Using Software Evaluation Metrics

The usage of Web services has recently increased. Therefore, it is important to select right type of Web services at the project design stage. The most common implementations are based on SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and REST (Representational State Transfer Protocol) styles. To achieve this aim, a systematic literature review will be made to compare REST and SOAP Web services in terms of the software evaluation metrics.
