Smilax china (SC) is a medicinal plant that has been traditionally used for a number of pathological disorders. In current study, its various fractions were assessed for radical scavenging, phenolic, flavonoid content and enzyme inhibition. The methanolic extract (MSC) of SC was subjected to fractionation using different solvents including n-hexane, benzene, chloroform, ethyl acetate and n-butanol.
