Their development varied from 0,2 to 2%. The lower level of moisture was more favorable for sunflower rust. Under irrigation its spread was reduced by 5-6 times. Carrying out systematic watering during the growing season creates optimal conditions for the development of pathogenic organisms on sunflower plants. The use of irrigation changes the phytopathogenic complex and the incidence and severity of diseases. It is established that in conditions of sufficient humidity septoria leaf blotch and black stem dominate in the disease complex. In drought conditions, rust spread more intensively.
