A Holistic Approach of Children with JIA

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is one of the common causes of chronic arthritis in children. Early diagnosis of juvenile idiopathic arthritis is essential for providing best outcomes and improved quality of life. JIA is a chronic condition so it is important to ensure individualized care of the child but also compliance of the family regarding the child' s illness. In these patients, the basic goal is to decrease pain at the edematous joints, keep these children psychosocially and developmentally active, and in school. In this article, we will review the holistic care and management of JIA for children.
