A search into the literature showed that there is still a dearth of studies on the categorisation and roles of stakeholders involved in disaster management. This might not be unconnected with the soaring trend of both natural and man-made disaster globally. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the role of stakeholders in militating disaster prevalence in our contemporary society.
