Treatment of Diabetes Mellitus

Many books have been written on the treatmeut of diabetes mellitus, aud to deal with even a part of this subject exhaustively would require many hours. It is not my intention to go into details, but to give rather a general description of the leading points in the treatment of this disease as carried out in one of the universities of Germany, where the study of diabetes has been made a specialty. Neither physiology nor pathology give an absolute basis for the rational treatmeut of diabetes.
