A.LUCCIO The bare machine. With the model MAD5 and coefficients and magnetic effective lengths from the measurements, tables of the tune and chromaticity with a variety of quadrupole and sextupole settings were calculated. The calculations were performed in the limit of a zero current beam and the effects of eddy currents were not included. The tune of the "bare" machine, i.e. when the quads carry only the main current, vary very little along the accelerating cycle. Results are in Table I ,
