To investigate influences on neighboring structures during shield driving, centrifuge tests reported here were performed at a centrifugal acceleration of 70G using 1/70th scale shield machine model in diluvial sandy layer. In a series of the tests where shield machine plate friction, overburden pressure and shield thrusting speed were parameters , earth pressure surrounding a shield machine and bending moment of neighboring existing model piles were measured during shield driving .
