One of the most common complaints after any surgery is pain, which can also be true after knee surgeries. Samples: 80 clients 15-45 years of age undergoing knee surgeries were randomly selected and divided into two groups (40 case and 40 control). Results: Pain intensity was reduced in both groups after one hour treatment, but this reduction was significantly more in cold therapy (case) group (p=0.000) Conclusion: Cold therapy can be a good choice to use as a non- drug pain relief measure after knee surgeries. Further researches should be carried out for other painful situations and surgeries, other than knee surgeries, in order to find out the effectiveness of cold therapy. It is also recommended to apply cold in other forms than that it was used in this research .
