In the present paper, we study the approximation of unbounded eontinuous fu netions of exponential growth by the linear eombination of a new sequenee of linear positive operators. First, we di seu ss a Voronoskaja type asymptotie fo rmula and then obtain an error estimate in terms of the higher order modulus of eontinuity of the fu netion being approximated.
