The treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) is extremely challenging, and it is difficult to achieve satisfactory results with surgical resection alone. In recent years, the diagnosis and treatment of LARC tends to be multi-disciplinary (MDT) mode. The emerging neoadjuvant treatment strategy is a milestone.
