A Case Report of Coexisting Graves' Disease and Struma Ovarii

A 72-year-old woman, known case of Graves' disease with anti-thyroid drug hypersensitivity was sent for radioactive iodine ablation prior to surgical resection of an ovarian tumor. Her 24-hour radioactive iodine thyroid uptake was normal. Thus, radioactive iodine whole body scan was performed to diagnose whether struma ovarii was the cause of thyrotoxicosis.
