Optimal order a aposteriori error bounds for semilinear parabolic equation are derived by using discontinuous Galerkin method in time and continuous (conforming) finite element in space. Our main tools in this analysis the reconstruction in time and elliptic reconstruction in space with Gronwall's lemma and continuation argument.
