more » ... king at secondary education institutions towards professional development activities and to determine their views on the efficiency of the activities and their education needs. As the study is conducted to determine the current situation, descriptive method was used in the survey model. The study group consists of 251 teachers who are working in secondary education schools and volunteered to participate in the study. Both quantitative and qualitative data were used in the study. In the analysis of the data obtained from the attitude scale, t-test and one-way one-way anova were used" and content analysis was used to analyze the qualitative data obtained by the openended questionnaire. At the end of the research, the following findings were reached; Teachers' attitudes towards professional development activities do not show a significant difference with regard to variables of gender, seniority, school graduated and participation in the professional development activities. In the study, 58.8% of the teachers who expressed their opinions on the efficiency of the professional development activities stated that they find these activities efficient. In the study, 41.2% of the teachers who expressed their opinions on the efficiency of the professional development activities stated that they find these activities inefficient. According to another finding of the study, teachers stated various qualifications that an educator needs to have for professional development activities to be successful. According to another finding obtained in the study, 67.33% of the teachers who form the study group feel the need for professional development education, but 32.67% of the teachers think they are adequate and do not need education in any subject. STRUCTURED ABSTRACT Purpose of the Study The main purpose of this study is to determine the attitudes of teachers working at secondary education institutions towards professional development activities and to determine their views on the efficiency of the activities and their education needs. Based on this main purpose, the following questions were asked;
