Guwahati, which is a geo-morphologically alive city, is in a state of disarray at present in the context of groundwater availability and demand. The elements of this project are to assess and report the quality of groundwater in greater Guwahati which include areas in the outskirts of the city. In the present investigation, the city has been divided into five zones viz. east, west, north south and central.
